9 Feb 2006 - Maths Through Art Week

The whole school have enjoyed a week of exploring maths through art. We have studied the work of different artists, including Klee, Escher and Mondrian.
We were lucky enough to have visiting artists to help us with our work. We used lots of different art techniques, including 3D modelling, sponging, cutting and sticking. We learnt maths skills like tessellation, idenitfying shapes and building 3D shapes. We all had so much fun and it made us all appreciate the work of the artists we studied.
